Seesaw House
Santa Monica, CA | In Design

A new 5,000sf two-story home with a full basement. The design is conceived as three wood boxes with sloped roofs that are strategically located to allow for generous light into the basement below. The volumes are punctuated with a series of heavy wood fins and appear to rest on a series of brick boxes defining generous openings on the first floor. The home has been designed to be net-zero energy by employing a variety of passive and active systems.
